The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) has set the dates for 2015 occupational classification examinations for holders of healthcare professional certificates; according to Mr. Abdullah Sa'eed Al-Zhayyan, the Public Relations and Media Director and SCFHS's official spokesman. MR Al-Zhayyan explained that examinations will be held in four cycles; the first of which will be on Safar 14, 1436 H, the second on Jumada Al-Oula 16, 1436 H, the third on Sha'ban 19, 1436 H and the fourth and last one on Thol Qe'da 21 of the same year. Mr. Al-Zhayyan also stressed that examination dates are according to Um AL Qura (Hijri) calendar and all will fall on Saturdays.
Mr. Al-Zhayyan also stated that examinations will be held in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, Al Qassim, Medina and Tabuk centers and that all examination sessions for all specialties have been consolidated such that they are all held in one session at 10:00 a.m; pointing out that SCFHS may establish new examination centers or cancel existing ones as it deems fit in line with relevant applicable controls and number of applicants. He added that the deadline for applying for setting an examination is two weeks prior to the set date for said examination, and results will be announced two weeks thereafter on SCFHS's official website.
Mr. Al-Zhayyan stressed the fact that these examinations do not cover specialties the examinations of which are held online through Prometric or Pearson Vue as explained on SCFHS's web portal www.scfhs.org.sa.
