Under the patronage of H.M. the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, SCFHS celebrates the graduation of the 18th batch of physicians, pharmacists and nurses who obtained the Saudi Board Certificate and diploma. The event will take place on Wednesday Rajab 24th corresponding to May 13th 2015 in the Main Hall of King Fahad Cultural Center in Riyadh.
In this occasion, the Minister of Health and Chairman of SCFHS's Board of Trustees Eng. Khaled Bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh Expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for sponsoring this event, and stated that such sponsorship is an honor to all workers in the health sector in general and SCFHS in particular and is one of the many generous gestures H.M. grants his people in every scientific or cultural occasion; which is no wonder because he is the sponsor and supporter of all efforts to promote science and knowledge at all levels in our beloved Kingdom.
In his turn, SCFHS Secretary General Prof. Abdulaziz Al Saigh commended the sponsorship granted by H.M. the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; stressing that it has deep and profound meanings and indications represented by the leadership's care for science and scientists and support of the efforts aimed at creating skilled staff able to give and innovate in the health sector and provide safe health care in our beloved Kingdom. Prof. Al Saigh added that this sponsorship also reflects our leaders' realization of the role of the health sector and its impact on the social structure and its safety in our beloved Kingdom, and the need to support this sector with studies, researches, consultations and qualified staff capable of understanding the technologies of our time and keeping pace and dealing with its implications and developments with a high level of competency and skill. Prof. Al Saigh added: "The sponsorship granted by H.M. the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to SCFHS as it strives to document its academic and scientific journey over more than twenty years provides it with a strong incentive to double its efforts, achievements and outstanding performance; which places it among international organizations with direct and intensive presence in the area of medical training and qualification and in creating a safe health environment and controlling its practices.
The Secretary General stated that this 18th batch is the largest in SCFHS's history as it includes more than 1,200 male and female physicians who obtained the Saudi Board Certificate in 75 general and primary health specialties and six fellowship and diploma programs; bringing the total number of SCFHS graduates to over 7,000 male and female graduates working as consultants and specialists in their respective areas of specialization in various health sectors.
