The Executive Board of the Professional Practice of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties discussed in its first meeting held recently at the headquarters of the Authority, ways of developing professional classification policies to achieve the objectives of the strategic plan of the Authority.
The Secretary General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Dr. Ayman bin Asaad Abdu, stressed that discussing the development of the occupational classification policies is a priority that the strategic plan seeks to achieve to improve the work of the Commission and increase the efficiency of professional health practices in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that the Authority is working on a number of axes to develop the professional classification, which is one of the priorities of the Commission's work according to the strategic plan which seeks to raise the efficiency of the health sector by protecting and promoting health in the Kingdom through qualified health competencies at the highest standards and best practices, In order to achieve the aspirations of health practitioners and to meet their professional needs and strengthen the capabilities of national talent.
The Executive Board of the Professional Practice includes members of some national institutions that share with the Commission many of the national goals related to the development of health professional practice. They are the Assistant Undersecretary for Hospital Affairs at the Ministry of Health, the General Supervisor of the Health Sector at the Ministry of Health, Civil service and a representative of the private sector, a representative of the Ministry of Education.
