Definition and Objectives

Continuous medical education and professional development refers to a number of educational activities which aim to impart scientific knowledge in a simple and easy way to all practitioners (physicians, pharmacists, nurses or technicians) to help them develop their skills and experience.

Continuous medical education and professional development objectives:
 
  1. Increase the efficiency and quality of practitioners' performance in order to improve the services provided for patients.
  2. Preserve and develop the medical and scientific knowledge of practitioners.
  3. Keep practitioners up to date with the latest developments in the field in order to develop their skills and experience.
