Professor James Ware
Professor Ware is a graduate of Cambridge University and University College, London, UK.
Trained as a general surgeon in the UK. Moved to the Karolinska Institute and Hospital in the early seventies, becoming Director of the Department of Surgery Research Laboratories. Seconded to Liverpool University 1982-85 to replace Professor Sir Robert Shields during his term as Dean of Medicine, returned to Sweden for a further five years before starting a career in Medical Education now spanning 25 years in the UAE, Malaysia, South Africa, Hong Kong, Kuwait and now works as Director of Medical Education and Postgraduate studies for the Saudi Commission of Health Specialties. Has published over 150 papers on surgical and medical educational topics and sat on numerous national and international committees.
